It’s a Passion

The passion for food started for the both of us, at a very young age. Alicia started cooking when she was 12-years old. She was inspired by her grandparents who spent their early careers in the food industry. Most recently, she has worked alongside Vegan Iron Chef Lisa, conducting cooking classes for Kaiser patients & executives, hosted wellness retreats, hosted an international cooking show, and conducted live cooking demonstrations for community events such as World Veg Fest & March for Science.

I started cooking at the age of 16. When YouTube came out, I neglected the cat videos and opted in for the cooking ones. I learned how to cook delicious Thai and Indian curries. In the past 5 years, I started diving into the food that I grew up eating.

We both live by the premise of the Cesar Chavez’s insightful words…

“If you really want to make a friend, go to someone’s house and eat with him… the people who give you their food give you their heart.”
